Fugitive clouds shroud the body of awareness,
Dreams’ hues wiped away by fatigue
Such fragmented times!
Entangled in futile mischief,
Branches shedding their feathers.
Birds forsake their nests,
While the desolate river hums
A sorrow-laden tune.
Abstract shadows anchor in the dark,
Echoing in the hollow afternoon’s sighs.
At the weathered edge of the sky,
Dry leaf’s thirst for autumn’s elusive dew.
A primal anguish grazes the stifled chest,
Memories layered in the folds of time.
The air carries the scent of distant clamour.
Chasing fugitive clouds,
Restless souls dissolve into the infinite.
Yet, the soil’s embrace pulls them back,
Back to the unbidden grey of time,
Sometimes pausing, resisting.

What a stifled symphony of life!
