Passion of Legacy

You’ve not seen the sky within me,
nor sipped from the fountain that flows there.
My breath drifts across an endless desert
You’ve not seen its exhalation of barren smoke.

How long has it endured!
No perfect love exists in the realm of worship.
The spellbound merging of fire and water.

But today
I will lead you into the sky within me,
where spacecraft tear through my stony chest,
And rivers spill with sorrowful, bluish tides.
I will show you.
A mourning soul,
petals of despair hanging like heavy ornaments,
a new moon night betraying its vow in search of light.

I will show you dreams
perishing beneath the weight of mortality,
Moments hardened by time, still cherished.

Today, you will see it all:
How clouds froze mid-flight in my sky,
How grief evaporates, only to return.
You will witness my shadows, my dreams,
and a polar trail still glowing in the dark.

You’ll glimpse the hell within my ribs,
And yet, the fierce beauty of inner fire.
I will take you there
to a place of endless joy,

where you may dive and draw happiness,
from an eternal spring untouched by sorrow
into the vast expanse of legacy.
