Pristine
There are no lights around me.
I’m drowning in the light of darkness itself.
I stagger between the torment of life
a life no longer meant for bliss,
no longer welcoming any sacred sign.
Joy has never been bound
to my iniquity.
A fierce tornado looms ahead
and I am not ready.
Speckled moments won’t hold my glory.
Am I forgiven?
None of my past
can conquer the present,
because I do not know my fortune.
There’s no meaning in my emotions
only the pulse of an inherited divine soul.
And then the notorious dreams wake me
in the middle of the night
sleep escapes me.
Maybe I’m no longer dreaming at all.
Desires plunge into the howl of the sea.
Indecent, greedy thoughts punish me
a straight path never ends.
I chose the curved steps,
and got lost in their destiny.
